Windflight Surf Shop was started by Bob Smetts, the owner of Zap back in the early 1980’s. Bob originally started shaping surfboards and sailboards under the Windflight logo before shaping skimboards and starting Zap. As a result Windflightsurfshop.com has a broad range of Zap skimboards available including the occasional factory second. These are brand new boards which may have a slight paint bubble or small blem, most often it is difficult to find the blem, unfortunately accidents happen, but the savings are passed on to you our customers. Windflight surf shop offers several skim schools throughout the year taught by a local professional and Zap team rider. In addition Windflight surf shop hosts an annual Holiday Skim Comp in an effort to support the sport and the riders who enjoy it.

At Windflight Surf Shop we offer skim schools at various times throughout the year. Skim school is for both the experienced and new rider. Beginner riders are taught basics such as how to effectively throw the board, and more advanced riders are often looking to learn new tricks! In addition Windflight hosts an annual Holiday Skim Comp to promote the sport of skim boarding. Last year we had a record number of entries, and a record number of girls!
